Collect tokens to outmanoeuvre your opponent in tactical battles on the long lost medieval console!

Tacn is a tactical grid based roguelike deckbuilder in which the player must gather a warband tomake their way through increasingly difficult battles. In this fast paced game you must strategically deploy your units on the battlefield and watch them fight for you while throwing powerful spells to gain the advantage.

"In a realm where silence is law but stones always remembers, a curious relic has been gaining popularity amongst the youth. This monolithic rock-console etched with sigils long thought forbidden is known as Tacn. It's surface flickers and displays a semblance of "digital" clarity, born not of science but of profane sorcery. Upon it's gridded surface, hand-carved tokens are placed by the yound players then set in motion, as if the stone itself was coming to life.

This device is the clandestine creation of a fallen magnus. Once a practitioner of the  arcane arts, he has been  reduced to working as a mere stone-cutter since all magic fell under royal sanction.

His days are spent in the shadow beneath the rising cathedral where  he carves the grotesque gargoyles which will adorn it's sanctified heights. Yet in these very same shadows he defies his sentence. With chisel and whispered incantation, he instills each fragment of stone with latent willpower, weaving remnants of his lost magic into every surface he shapes.

And so the Tacn was conceived. Not only as a game, but as a vessel.

Unbeknownst to it's players, the token they collect, the knights, archers, healers or monstrous aberrations, are kin to the figures perched upon the cathedral heights.

Your wins on the Tacn are the wins of this old stone-cutter.  Moving closer to a reckoning brought by the stones that have learned to wake."

The game is in it's early development phase and has a few levels as rough demo, built over a few weeks when we were able to find some free hours in otherwise busy schedules. We decided to share the first iteration of the game to gather feedback and hopefully encouraging words while working further on manifesting the game we have in mind.

We will showcase it in Berlin at Talk & Play on April 22nd and at Amaze on May 16th.

We're curious about other people's thoughts, so drop us a line if you have any.
